 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NMR

(The Nordic Resistance Movement)

[Written for Ireland Against Fascism in 2019, before a group split from the NMR because they were "too weak" and formed Nordic Force]

It's the largest Nazi organization in the Nordic countries. And they are proud of being/ calling themselves Nazis.

Created in 1997 as a strictly Swedish group, they changed their name to NMR in 2016 when they started chapters in other Nordic countries. One of their aims is to create one massive, white nationalistic Nordic country. They are now established in all the Nordic countries. But as they are banned in Finland and all their activities are banned in Norway, they congregate in Sweden and where most of them now live. 

They use the town of Ludvika as their command center, and is where most of their leaders and prominent members live. There are rumours of them moving their head quarters, but this is not confirmed yet. One of their most idolized members recently moved there. Vera Oredsson: born in Berlin in 1928 and a proud member of Hitler Jugend's Bund Deutcher Mädel from the start. She is a lifelong Nazi and has sworn allegiance to Hitler and the Nazi ideology. She is NMR's grand old lady, advisor, agitator and idol. (See photo number two, public photos) 

Ludvika is also where they plan to have their Race Determination Center. To determine how pure Nordic blood/genes people have and to start their sorting-out program. To get undesirables rooted out and to determine what class of Nordic people you belonged to. It is not enough for you to have all your roots in the Nordic countries, your blood and genes must be pure too. Those with the purest genes will be allowed to live in the towns, those with not so pure genes, but still acceptable Nordic, will live outside the towns to provide the elite with their every need. There will be a special breeding program in place to create the most Nordic babies possible. This program has already been started by NMR members, but more on that horror later.

All foreigners who entered Sweden before 1975 will be put through race determination too, those found undesirable + all foreigners who came after 1975 will be removed from the Nordic countries «in the most humanly manner» says their handbook. 

All who oppose their regime will be rounded up and put in camps, they have already made lists of people and are adding people as they find them. In the camps you will receive a hard labour sentence or death penalty. Academics, journalists, anti-fascists, law, politicians will be hanged from lampposts without trial. As Oredsson said: «I can't wait to see them dangling, but only from ordinary lampposts, not the pretty ones»

1 out of 4 members have been prosecuted for grievous bodily harm, even murder. Most of their members have long lists of violence, harassment and assault (usually with knives) in police records. Setting off bombs, stalking, harassment, physical attacks are just their M.O. and they have no problem with using that.  

They have always followed Nazi ideology, and the fascist Corneliu Codreanu is also one of their preferred idols. But in 2007 we saw a marked change within the organization. They started wearing uniforms: black trousers, white shirt and green tie. They started to march under banners with the Nazis misinterpretation of the rune Tiw. And they proclaimed zero tolerance of anyone opposing them. Which is when their violence spread dramatically onto the streets. Their marches are an attempt to show force, but also to create fights. And they attack anyone within reach. Often using knives and their banners as spears. They have training camps just for this purpose.

They glorify their «battles», they idolize violence the more horrendous the better. They use their online sites as a way to share these ideas, videos and methods. Mostly on the Nordfront site, which is also the name of their personal guard.

We could go on for hours about them, the amount of information we have gathered is huge! But I will focus a little on their breeding program, as I mentioned before.

In their eyes the only thing a woman should do is breed Nordic babies, tend to the men's ever need and act as lures to bring people in to the organization. The children are indoctrinated from day one. They learn Nazi ideology and speeches by heart, they are taught to hate, weapons use, fighting etc They are also taught absolute obedience and loyalty to NMR, to the point of spying on their loved ones and report any hint of anti NMR speech.      

Just a few weeks ago we witnessed a 15ys old girl, on a fascist Yellow Vests demo in Stockholm, spewing out the most bonechilling Nazi propaganda we have heard for some time. Because they have been around for a while, we now have teenagers who are brought up totally and utterly as Nazis.  

Schools have been the focus of many NMR attacks too. They show up during school hours with flares, banners and megaphones. They threaten and attack staff while trying to recruit the pupils. 

The NMR are also behind bombs, murders, attempted murders, harassment, intimidation, publicly posting hundreds of names, photos and personal information about anti-fascist activists, burning down refugee centers/homes. They attack foreigners and anyone else who oppose them. If they can't get to an activist, they will get to someone close to them. 

They march as often as they can, and are out on the streets of Sweden every weekend spreading fear and propaganda.
