Dark news from Denmark:

Denmark is heading for council elections, on the 16th of November 3 members of Generation Identity will be up for election there.   The following is a translation of two investigation pieces by REDOX .dk on these three people, and the other two G.I. members hired by the Nye Borgerlige (New Conservative) party there.

- Investigation piece 1-

"Nye Borgerlige candidate- "The battle must be brutal and violent"

In Aabenraa Nye Borgerlige (New Conservative) listed a candidate that has been active in the neo-fascist Generation Identity for a long time.  The local leader does not wish to comment.

"We are extremists and happily so"       "The battle is brutal and violent"        "We are combat trained fire-starters"

The words comes from Jonas Zuschke, who is a candidate for a town-council seat for Nye Borgerlige in the upcoming council elections.       The words were written in defence of the neo-fascist Generation Identity, in which Zuschke has been active for years.   He has on several occasions acted as their spokesperson.

Jonas Zuschke took part, as recently as last summer, in an international demonstration in Vienna.  Where Generation Identity members from all around Europe gathered to protest against the Austrian governments plan to ban the Generation Identity's logo in Austria.

In an opinion piece from April 2018 in the annual report from national-conservaitve Critique, Jonas Zuschke defends the political line  "the new right" which was condemned as "right wing radicals" by Critiques editor.

The opinion piece carries the name "The New Right.  Why we're fighting and why we'll win"  The title is a reference to one of the French New Right's founders Guillaume Faye, who besides playing a major part in the resurrection of French Neo-Fascism after WW2, also published a book called "Why we fight"

In the opinion piece Jonas Zuschke claims the situation in Europe is so severe, that one has to take radical measurers into use.    "That's why we fight, and the battle will be brutal and violent.  It has to be."   Jonas Zuschke goes on to say  "We are part of a sick society, and only in a violent outburst can we liberate oursleves from that which ties us to the dominant attitudes and start clearing the way for a new foundation."

In the text he also mentions the labels views like that will bring; "We are extremists, and happily so."  Jonas Zuschke explains that if you are regarded as an extremist by the political centre, that is a positive, and goes even further in his own description of the New Right that Generation Identity is a part of:  "We are combat trained fire-starters, who longingly await the purifying fire."

So this is the kind of combat trained fire-starter citizens of Aabenraa now has the option to vote for.

The local party-leader in Aabernraa, Hans-Christian Gjerlevsen, does not wish to comment to REDOX.  Jonas Zuschke did not respond to any messages from REDOX.   Generation Identity (Denmark) has on several occasions refused to be interviewed by REDOX about their political views.  They deny the term 'neo-fascist' and claim they are pro democracy and against fascism and nazism.

-Investigation piece2-

"Nye Borgerlige (New Conservative) has placed 3 members of the neo-fascist Generation Identity up for the council-elections (in Denmark) on the 16th."

An investigation by REDOX shows that three candidates and two secreteriat staff members in Nye Borgerlige are also members of Generation Identity.

REDOX previously exposed one Generation Identity member, Jonas Zuschke, who is up for election in Aabenraa council.   We can now reveal a toltal of five people with backgrounds in Generation Identity, hold key-positions in Pernille Vermund's new party 'Nye Borgerlige'.   Three that are candidates for the coming council-elections, two are employed as secretariat staff at Christianborg (government buildings).

In Aalborg the Nye Borgerlige has listed Daniel Palsgaard for council  election.  A visit to his Twitter profile shows obvious political activity in both Generation Identity and Nye Borgerlge.    Besides describing Nye Borgerlige's progress, Daniel Palsgaard also shared a photo of himself taking part in a demo organized by Generation Identity.

Further North, in Fredrikshavn, the local Nye Borgerlige has listed another candidate with background in Generation Identity.  He's called Oliver Egelund Rose, and was elected into the Nye Borgerlige's local leadership in May this year.      He took part in the launch of the new Generation Identity local chapter in Aalborg September 2019.  The new chapters launch was marked by Generation Identity actions that Oliver Egelund Rose took active part in.  The actions were directed against the Social democrats congress in Aalborg that same weekend.  Photos from the actions- with documentation of Oliver Egelund Roses's involvement - can be found on Generation Identity's own website.

In addition to the thrww listed candidates for the council elections (in Denmark) , a further two younger men from Generation Identity works at the Nye Borgerlige's secreteriat at Christianborh (Danish parliament buildings) .   Jeppe Viebel Jensen is Nye Borgerlige's SoMe - Social media- consultant.  And recently Niclas Larsen also from Generation Identity was hired.  He is not listed on the party's website yet, but he is listed in the parliaments phonebook as 'consultant for digital media'.

REDOX contacted the five men mentioned - none of them responded.  Nye Borgerlige's press-officer Lars Kaaber emailed REDOX saying:   " We disagree with REDOX calling Generation Identity a neo-fascist movement.   All candidates of Nye Borgerlige are democrats and takes a stand against violence as a political tool.  They do neither ask for or agitate for violence, but argues for solutions to be found based on law and order under the  (Danish) Constitution and Danish Democracy.  If a member of NYE Borgerlige express values or incites actions that goes against the partys democratic foundations, or incites violence, the member can no longer remain and will be excluded from the party"

Generation Identity has refused interviews regarding their political views with REDOX on several occasions.  They deny the term neo-fascist and claims to be pro democracy and against fascism and nazism.
